Gloria Amanda Baylor Craig, 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville.
She was born on September 18, 1943, in Staunton to the late, George “Pedro” Woodrow and Corleen “Corky” Lyons Gross Baylor.
Gloria was a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated homemaker whose family was always at the center of her life. She was a lifetime member of Christ United Methodist Church in Staunton.
She enjoyed spending her time gardening and painting.
Outside of her hobbies, Gloria worked as a substitute teacher and in the cafeteria for Staunton City Schools for many years.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Ronald Eugene Craig; her daughter, Jill Renee Craig Redifer and her husband, Doug; her granddaughters, Kaila Redifer Tremblay and her husband, Marc, Evelynn “Kaiti” Kathleen Frye and her friend, Pat Wheaton, and Eve Redifer Berry and her husband, Rick; her great-grandchildren, Luca and Olivia Tremblay, and Millie and Adley Berry; and her sister, Brenda Lee Baylor Wollner and her husband, Frank.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Dawn Craig.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Christ United Methodist Church in Staunton.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Christ United Methodist Church in Staunton with Reverend Brett Isernhagen officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Mission (1513 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401), Alzheimer’s Association (P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011), or any donation of your choice.
