STAUNTON, VA Gloria Jean (Swisher) Losh, 74, widow of Boyd D. Losh, of Staunton, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Kings Daughters Community Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 3, 1941 in Harrisonburg, the daughter of the late McCray and Goldie (Backe) Swisher. In her teens, Mrs. Losh served in the Civil Air Patrol. She later graduated from Dunsmore Business College and worked for the Virginia Department of Highways, as a secretary, where she retired after 34 years of service. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Boyd Shane and Elizabeth Losh of Churchville; a granddaughter, Sierra "Nikki" Losh of Churchville; a special sister and caregiver, Dianna (Cookie) Tolley of Staunton, with whom Mrs. Losh made her home for twenty years; and a special aunt, nieces and cousins. Mrs. Losh was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Boyd D. Losh. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 2, 2015 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bobby Campbell. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015 in the funeral home.
