Hansford T. Patterson

Hansford Thomas Patterson, 89, widower of Wilma Maxine (Myers) Patterson, of Greenville died Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Augusta Health, Fishersville.

He was born February 23, 1932, in Middlebrook, a son of the late Eugene Thomas and Juanita Marie (Buchanan) Patterson.

Prior to retirement, he was a self-employed painter and farmed for 40 years.

Hansford was very well known for his garden and loved farming and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene Thomas Patterson; a son-in-law, Robert Bruce Campbell; and three brothers, Charles, Paul, and Harry Patterson.

Family members include a daughter, Deborah Patterson Campbell; two sisters, Katherine Huffman and Frances Fultz; a brother-in-law, Junior Myers; a granddaughter, Brittany Fisher (Harlan Roach); a great grandchild, Payton Snell; and close friends, Julie Leatherbury and Junior Brown.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev. John Ward.
