Harry Justice “Judd” Rucker, Sr., 92, widower of Armelda Mae Rucker, passed away on April 20, 2022 at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehab.
Harry was born on April 17, 1930 to the late Harry Gilmer and Pearl Hoke Rucker.
He is survived by his son, Harry Justice “J.R.” Rucker, Jr. and his fiancée, Judy Hazlett; his daughters, Sharon Stacy (David) of Virginia Beach and Brenda Siple of Staunton; his grandchildren, Robin Agnor (Michael), Larson Stacy, and Madison Stacy (Dakota); his great-grandchildren, D.J., Brittany, Stone, Colby, Ashton, and one on the way; and his great-grandchildren, Hayden and Scarlett.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Catherine Rucker, Wanda Persinger, Marie Dressler, and Glenna Dressler.
“Horseshoe”, as he was also fondly called, was an independent truck driver and drove for over fifty years. He loved his family and when he wasn’t trucking to provide for them, he enjoyed camping and traveling. He never met a stranger and was loved by all.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Bradley, Sr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Harry Rucker, Jr., D.J. Siple, Larson Stacy, Michael Agnor, David Stacy, and William Fridley will serve as pallbearers.
