Isla R. Damen

Isla Rae Damen, precious infant daughter of Haley Dawn Gilmer and Kyle Zachary Damen, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at just two months old. 

Born on March 20, 2026, Isla brought immeasurable love and joy to all who met her during her short but beautiful life. Though her time here was brief, she will forever remain deeply loved and cherished by her family.

In addition to her parents, Isla is survived by her maternal grandparents, Allen and Angela Gilmer; her paternal grandparents, Daniel and Virginia Damen; her maternal great-grandparents, Steve and Marvine Mabie and Carolyn Martin; her paternal great-grandmother, Barbara Hayden; her maternal great-great-grandmother, Gracie V. Flint; her paternal aunts, Sam and Jenna; as well as many loving great-great-aunts and uncles, great-aunts and uncles; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, Robert Gilmer.

Loved by everyone who met her, Isla’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who held her close.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.
