Jeanette O’Dell Harrison, 32, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
She was born on Friday, November 13, 1992, in Wilmington, North Carolina to Angela Tucker Harrison and the late Michael Wayne Harrison.
Jeanette was the fourth child born to Angela, and the first girl in the Harrison family since her Aunt Patty. She also had an older brother, Michael, from her father's previous marriage.
She moved from Hampstead, North Carolina at just one and a half years old. She attended daycare at the YMCA and went through public school before earning her GED. The following year, she proudly walked with her graduating class.
She later attended Blue Ridge Community College, where she took courses in veterinary science and drama. She volunteered at the Wildlife Center, where she found joy in playing with, feeding, and helping to release many wild animals back into their natural habitats.
In her professional life, she worked at Hershey’s, Little Debbie, World Stride, Shenandoah Dermatology, and McDonald’s, always giving her best in everything she did.
She had a deep love for animals, especially her Quaker parrot, Dreamer; her cat, Nala; her dog, Bella; and her father’s dogs, Trixie and Roxie.
She cherished the outdoors and spent many days walking, hiking in nature, exploring sunflower fields, and swimming in waterfalls and at the beach. She loved her family and treasured the time spent with them-whether at family reunions, on vacations, attending music festivals, dancing to music, or tubing and ziplining at Wintergreen. She was a true adventurer.
Her favorite times were those spent with her daughter, Caroline, who was born on September 28, 2020, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Together, they enjoyed walks in the park, feeding the ducks, and playing at the playground.
Jeanette filled their home with love and devoted herself fully to caring for her baby girl, giving her everything a little girl could ask for. Caroline loved and adored her mommy. They especially cherished their snuggle time and watching movies together.
She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and the time spent together will be cherished forever. Her family will wait with hope and loving anticipation for the day they are reunited with Jeanette in paradise.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughter, Caroline Chambers; her brothers, Jonathan Harrison and Michael Harrison, Jr.; her sisters, Michelle Flowers and Danielle Tucker; and her nieces and nephews, Noah, Michael III, Image, Hannah, Zymir, Mason, and Akira.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
