Jeffrey Scott Riley, 57, went to be with the Lord after a struggle with cancer on March 17, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA.

Jeffrey Riley was born August 11, 1963 in Waynesboro, Virginia, a son of the late Eugene Riley and Joyce Rusmisell.

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey Riley was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin Riley.

Family members include his son, Nathanael Riley and Darcus Sprouse; stepson, Kevin Moneymaker; his daughter, Avyana Moneymaker; and sisters, Gail Hanger and Sandra Heatwole.

Mr. Riley was a supervisor at Hawkins Fencing for several years and was self-employed by renovating homes and building and working on vehicles.

His most enjoyed times were hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, playing darts and horseshoes, all outdoor activities, and listening to country music and gospel bluegrass. Most of all he enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family. He was such a kind and loving man and a loving father who loved his son.

Jeff’s family is very thankful for the loving care he received from the staff of Hospice of the Shenandoah and also special thanks to Joy Buchanan, Briana Via and his nurse, Angela Surratt.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Bridge Christian Church, 1275 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville by Pastor Todd Brown.
