Jerry Filmore Harman, 81, widower of Wendy Alice (McCredie) Harman, passed away on August 10, 2022 at Augusta Health.
Jerry was born on October 17, 1940 in Augusta County to the late Esket Filmore Harman and Alice May (Sheets) Judy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He retired from the Department of Corrections Education, co-owned a flooring business with his widow for over 40 years and was a certified master installer and flooring inspector.
He is survived by a son, Mark Edward Harman of Swoope, three daughters, Kimberly Suzanne Harman of Staunton, Alicia Dallas Harman de Sandoval (Julio) of Staunton and Robyn Lynn Gray (Dean) of Roanoke; a brother, Ernest Harman, a sister, Sharon Trobaugh; four grandchildren, Karrington Greenlee, Maite Sandoval Harman, Neil Drewry (De’Ahzha) and Kerrigan Drewry; three great grandchildren, Grayson Greenlee, Camilla and Cara Drewry; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and his beloved dog, Quigley Harman.
In addition to his spouse and his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Dalton R. Greenlee.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, August 15, 2022 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Robert W. Sharp. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service and at the residence at other times.
