John W. Cash

John Wesley Cash, 63, left behind his worldly body for his renewed one, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

John was a Riverheads High School graduate, class of 1981, where he participated in numerous sports.

During his career, John excelled as a skilled Tool and Die Machinist. Outside of his profession, he was an avid fan of the Hokies and was known as the family’s biggest jokester, always bringing laughter to those around him.

John, is survived by his two sons, Wesley and Zackery Cash; his mother, Charlotte Mae Fitzgerald Cash; his siblings, Jeff, Dana, and Sue; his two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, William “Cap” Lyle Cash; and two special grandmothers, Susie V. Cash and Lillie May Fitzgerald.

The family would like to recognize his special friend; Vicki May who showed an endless amount of love and care for John.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Old Providence Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Steeles Tavern with Reverend John Ward officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to Riverheads Weekday Religious Education (P.O. Box 352, Greenville, Virginia 24440).
