JOYCE A. BIERNAT STAUNTON, VA Joyce Ann (Groff) Biernat, 71, of 512 Houston Street, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Envoy of Staunton. She was born on July 15, 1941, in Hammond, IN, a daughter of the late John Peter Anthony and Kathryn Marjorie (Yonke) Groff. Family members include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brian and Amy Biernat of Staunton and Blaine Biernat of Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Brenda Biernat of Seattle, WA; two brothers, John P. Groff, Jr. of St. John, IN and "Jerry" Jerome Eugene Groff of Merrillville, IN; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Groff. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July, 5, 2013, at Crossroads Baptist Church by Pastor Bill Johnson. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
