Julia Watson Kiessling, 71, died April 20, 2022. She was born November 7, 1950 in Staunton, the daughter of Adele (Gooch) and Henry William Kiessling.
Julia was a graduate of Stuart Hall, Drexel University (B.S), and Temple University (MBA). Her work experience at Drexel and master’s degree positioned her well for a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. For many years, Julia lived and worked in Philadelphia, a city she loved. She volunteered with the SPCA in Philadelphia and later in Staunton. Julia also served on the board of the Friends of the Staunton Library, acting as newsletter editor for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Hal Kiessling.
Julia is survived by cousins Jane Richmond, Liz Richmond (Matt Johnston), Larry Richmond (Kirstin Whitmore), Sylvia Richmond, Hope Richmond Lowery (Charles). She also leaves her beloved cats, Molly and Max.
There will be a graveside service at three o’clock on Monday, May 2, 2022 in Thornrose Cemetery, Staunton.
