Larry Walter Clemmer, 68, husband of Pam (Earhart) Clemmer, of Middlebrook went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Augusta Health.
He was born on June 8, 1951 in Staunton, a son of the late James Lloyd and Elizabeth Estaline (Patterson) Clemmer.
He retired with 20 years of service with the Department of Corrections and owned and operated Silver Springs Farm. He was also a member of Greenville Baptist Church.
Larry was extremely dedicated to his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a proud farmer and an extremely hard worker. When his health allowed he enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his wife of 47 ½ years, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Dianna Clemmer and Philip and Stacy Clemmer; five grandchildren, Ashlyn, Matthew, Kayla, Justin and Cyrus Clemmer; two brothers, James Lloyd Clemmer and Donnie Clemmer; and an number of nephews, nieces, cousins, and their families.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis “Dennie” Clemmer.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Lloyd Via. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in the funeral home and other times at the residence.
