Leslie Pleas Cahoon, Jr., formerly of Williamsburg, 92, husband of Jacqueline Mears (Chandler) Cahoon, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at his residence in Stuarts Draft.
Mr. Cahoon was born on September 13, 1930 in Clifton Forge to the late Leslie P. Cahoon, Sr. and Mary Susan (Kimberlin) Cahoon.
He served in the National Guard and retired as a mechanical engineer from BASF in Williamsburg. Mr. Cahoon enjoyed woodworking, building things and his vegetable garden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Carol Cahoon, Page Cahoon, and Alan Cahoon and daughter-in-law, Maria Cademartori; grandchildren, Samuel Kruger, Kian Cahoon and Bryce Cahoon; great-grandchildren, Elijah Kruger and Maddox Kruger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Lee Cahoon and a sister, Mary Agnes (Cahoon) Crawford.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stuarts Draft. The family will receive friends following the service.
