Lester S. Cook, Jr.

Lester “Mickey” Stone Cook, Jr., 69, of Mount Solon, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, after losing his battle to cancer.

He was born on March 3, 1956, to the late Lester Stone, Sr. and Ruby Caroline Dameron Cook.

He is survived by his significant other, Sherri Hedrick; his daughter, Emily Cook; his stepdaughters, Brandi Sampson and her partner, Matthew Woods and Ashley Jester and her partner, Mike Shelton; his brother, Dennis Cook; his sister, Debroah Fisher and her husband, Tommy; three nephews; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his dog, Harley.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service, beginning at 5:00 PM.
