Linda Louise Berry Goins, 70, widow of the late John “Knick” Goins, passed away on December 1, 2022 at her residence.
Linda was born on June 11, 1952 in Augusta County to the late Hugh Richard and Mary Lee Huffer Berry.
She is survived by her daughters, Keri L. Goins and Kristin G. Gaffney and her husband, Matt; her grandson, Tilghman Merritt Gaffney; a granddaughter, Ada Louise Gaffney; her sisters, Katherine Beam and her husband, Jim and Nancy Curry and her wife, Debbie Hargus; her step-sister, Ada “Ginger” Curry Leitch; her sister-in-law, Sherri Berry; her step-brother, Thomas F. Curry; her nephews, Greg A. Beam, Wayne Berry, and Ronnie Botkin; her nieces, Kim Ladd, Mindy Claxton, Betty Blackford, Kathy Lyle, Dana Botkin, and Pamela Koontz; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her companion, Allen Larner.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Roy Berry, a sister, Judy Lee Berry Botkin, and a nephew, William “Billy” Thomas Beam.
Linda retired from DaVita Dialysis Center in Fishersville as the office manager. She was also a devoted, lifetime member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder. She took pride in her work for the church, printing bulletins and other faithful church work. She and her companion, Allen, loved birding. She loved quilting, enjoyed hosting family events, and her role as a grandma. Dearly loved, Linda will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend Todd Lilley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Larner, Wayne Berry, Tom Rigg, Greg A. Beam, Sebastian Beam, Daniel Claxton, Matt Ladd, John Pastors, and Wayne Corbin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring Hill Presbyterian Church (4141 Spring Hill Road, Spring Hill, Virginia, 24401).
