LINDA F. WADE STAUNTON, VA Linda Faye (Miller) Wade, 69, wife of William Francis "Jake" Wade of 430 Peach Street, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. She was born September 20, 1943, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late John William, Jr., and Elvie Marie (Desper) Miller. Mrs. Wade was employed by Ritenour Nursing Home with over 10 years of service. She attended Arbor Hill Church of the Brethren. She loved to go to the races at Eastside Speedway and Natural Bridge. She loved camping with her children when she was younger and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda was a Terry Labonte race car fan, loved Elvis Presley music and collectibles, and collected many duck novelties. In addition to her husband of 49 years, family members include a son, William Eugene "Bill" Wade of Staunton; a daughter and son-in-law, Melinda W. and Eddie Lee Branden of Floyd; a sister-in-law, Shirley Miller; four grandchildren, Kandi Lynn Wade and her fiancé, Stanley Walker, William Mitchell Wade, Bianca Lynn Barron and her husband, Antonio, and Travis William Wade; two great grandchildren, Stanley Adryel Walker and Jake Rey Barron; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Wayne Miller. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Harold W. "Pete" Campbell. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Rusty Miller, Kelley Sharkey, Stanley Walker, Jack Wade, Van Lucas, and Jeff King. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2013, in the funeral home and other times at the residence.
