Logan M. Ives III

Logan Meree Ives III, 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at King's Daughters Health and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.

He was born on February 3, 1951, in Richmond, to the late Logan Meree, Jr. and Margaret Eccles Fuller Ives.

He was a 1969 graduate of Covington High School. After high school, he continued his academic journey at Lynchburg College, receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1974. Ever ambitious, Logan furthered his education by earning his MBA from James Madison University in Harrisonburg in 1980.

Throughout his career, Logan worked as an accountant. His methodical nature and meticulous attention to detail resulted in consistently flawless work. There was no denying his passion for perfection.

Outside of his professional life, Logan had a deep appreciation for pipe organ music. He found great joy in listening to the rich, majestic sounds of the instrument and spent time dabbling in playing the organ himself.

He is survived by his brother, Rutledge Fuller Ives, and his nephew, Nathanael Rutledge Ives and his wife, Elizabeth.

Inurnment will be private and at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Covington.
