Margaret Ann Smith

Margaret Ann (Koiner) Smith, 87, widow of William Malcom Smith, of Staunton died Wednesday, January 27, 2021, in King’s Daughters Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born May 13, 1933, in Staunton a daughter of the late Walter Howard and Dara Jane (Rife) Koiner.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, William Smith, Jr.; and a daughter, Karen Hill.

Family members include a son, Ronnie Smith; a daughter, Ann Hayes; five grandchildren, Brad Hayes and his wife, Amanda, Shawn Hill, Cindy Smith, Brandon Smith, and Kevin Smith and his wife, Amber; and a number of great grandchildren.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.

The family would like to thank Marsha, Tracy, and Cindy for all their loving care.
