Michael Paul Ogden, 84, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia.

Born on November 19, 1940, in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Harold J. and Alice Peck Ogden.

Michael honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he embarked on a distinguished career in broadcasting, beginning with WTIC and later joining WFSB Channel 3 in Hartford. He became a familiar face to many as the host of The Ranger Station, a beloved program during his tenure at Channel 3.

After retiring from broadcasting, Michael remained committed to serving others through his work with the Commonwealth of Virginia and later at Western State Hospital.

Outside of his professional life, Michael was a talented singer and found great joy in playing the guitar - a favorite pastime he cherished.

He is survived by his partner, Marcia Klausing; his daughters, Kristen Ogden Lambert (Michael) and Molly Ogden Muska (Jay); and six grandchildren: Spencer, Chase, and Ethan Lambert, and Joshua, Emlyn, and Zoe Muska.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jennifer Marie Ogden; and his brother, Rial Ogden.

The family wishes to thank the many friends Michael made during his time in Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton, with Reverend Gene Williams officiating.
