Nelson Glen Blosser, 74, a quiet and simple man with a helping heart, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Willow Estates Retirement Community in Penn Laird.
He was born on September 30, 1949, in Waynesboro to the late Glen Harry and Lois Edna Grove Blosser
Nelson dedicated most of his career to the organ industry. He began by working with Taylor and Boody Organ Builders in Staunton, where he honed his skills in building organs. Later, he collaborated with the renowned organ inventor and designer, Xavier Wilhelmy, repairing these magnificent instruments. In addition to his work with organs, Nelson spent time at Hershey Tire and Auto Repair in Staunton.
Outside of work, Nelson found joy in simple pleasures. He had a fondness for puzzles that challenged his mind and provided moments of relaxation. Nelson also had a soft spot for cats and dogs.
He is survived by his brothers, Leroy Carl, Clayton Paul, and Max Leon Blosser, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Ann Halteman Blosser.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Nelson's life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Staunton Mennonite Church.
Inurnment will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton.
