Patricia Jane King

Patricia Jane King, 86, of Staunton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at her residence.

Born on August 14, 1940, in Brooklyn NY, to the late Gerard and Jane King, Patricia was a mother to six girls, whom she affectionately called “her six little loves,” her greatest joy and most valued accomplishment. She was passionate about her education and earned a nursing degree.

Patricia is survived by her brother, Gerard King; her sister Veronica Newger; her daughters, Dawn Rossiter, Darlene Neishell, Patricia Bravo, Katie Spurrier, and Kasey Hunter; and their families, including 13 grandchildren and 2.5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph King, and her daughter, Denise Rossiter.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2026, at Fishersville Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that those desiring may make memorial donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (4550 Montgomery Avenue Suite 1100N Bethesda, MD 20814) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105)
