Patricia W. Luders
Patricia Ann Whedbee Luders, 66, wife of William Dean Luders, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at King’s Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.
Patricia was born on December 2, 1956 in Portsmouth to the late Ivey “Whimpy” Sloane, Jr. and Martha Ann Cox Whedbee.
She was a member of Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her son, Cody Russell Boyers and his wife, Sarah; her two stepsons, Timothy and Andrew Luders; her two brothers, Michael Ivey Whedbee and his wife, Lisa S. of McGaheysville and David Winfree Whedbee and his wife, Rosemary K. of Mathias, WV; her sister, Jacqueline Whedbee Croy and her husband, Tim of Bridgewater; her eight grandchildren, Jordan, Jason, Paisley, and Jaxon Boyers and Matt, Donovan, Noah, and Aaron Luders; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant son, Joshua David Boyers.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Cody Boyers Residence (2029 Rhoades Drive, Waynesboro, VA 22980) on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Phyllis Diamond officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Central Virginia (8730 Stony Point Parkway, Ste. 150, Richmond, VA 23235).
