Patricia L. Michael

Patricia "Pati" Laverne Michael, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville. 

Born in Staunton on June 19, 1949, Pati made significant contributions throughout her life, culminating in a respected career of 35 years as the Director of Volunteer Services at Western State Hospital. Her commitment to community service and enhancing the lives of those around her exemplified her character and passion for helping others.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending her days delighting in friendly competition of card games and the camaraderie of bingo nights.

She is preceded in death by her father, Loyd Clinton Michael, Sr.; her mother, Leona (Nuckoles) Livick; her stepfather, Jim Livick; and her brother, Loyd Clinton Michael, Jr. 

Also left to cherish her memory is her best friend of over sixty years, Nancy A. Ralston of Troy, VA, and her close friends, Allison Bell and Kathy Kristiansen, both of Nellysford, VA, and Melissa A. Shifflett of Troy, VA.

A private graveside service at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro will be held.
