Patricia K. Overbey

Patricia Lynette Kegley Overbey, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her residence in Staunton.

She was born on March 10, 1949, in Danville to the late Jack “Poppi” Ephraim and Doris “Meme” Rebecca Harper Kegley.

Patricia worked as a bookkeeper for many years.

In her free time, she loved crocheting. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, where she treasured the laughter, fellowship, and friendships she found.

She is survived by her sons Randall Scott Mays, Larry Wayne, Christopher Lea , and Robert Ephraim Overbey; her grandchildren, Talula, Brooklyn, Teagan, Alex, Waylon, Theodore, Jack, Hannah, Harper, Raegan, Charlotte, ; her brother, Ronald Lea Kegley and her sister, Jo Ann Kegley.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Kegley Gibson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM of Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Linden Heights Baptist Church in Staunton with Reverend Luke Smith officiating.

The interment will be private at Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton.
