Paul E. Welder

Paul Emerson Welder, 82, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at his residence in Staunton.

He was born on February 5, 1943, to the late Basil Quay and Florence Emerson Welder.

Paul was married to Krista, and together they built a life filled with partnership, support, and shared memories of travel, grandchildren, and support of the arts.

After a successful career as a finance professional and company executive, he enjoyed a robust retirement full of adventures around the world.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Austin Welder and his wife, Wendell; his daughter, Nancy and her husband, Eric; his sister, Linda and her husband, Lanny; his four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends who will miss him terribly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, David Welder.
