Phyllis Yvonne Bosserman, 86, wife of the late Arnold Warren Bosserman, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Phyllis was born on January 24, 1937, in the Timber Ridge community of Rockingham County to the late Ernest E. Blackwell and Edna Marie Ramsey Ogden.
Phyllis had a strong work ethic and took great pride in her career as a store clerk at Staunton Steam Laundry. Her dedication and attention to detail were well-known to her colleagues and customers. Phyllis's commitment to her job was matched only by her love for her family. She was a quiet and humble individual who found joy in the simple things in life.
Throughout her life, Phyllis cherished her role as a mother and she provided unwavering support and unconditional love to her children, guiding them through life's challenges with grace and wisdom.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience to her surviving family: her daughters, Sandra Kay Claytor and her husband, Kenneth and Patsy Yvonne Brown and her husband, David; her brothers, Jim, Gary, and Wayne Rankin; her grandchildren, Michelle Brown, Troy Lee Cash, and Travis Michael Austin; her great-granddaughters, Autumn Marie and Brook Lynn Cash; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Bobby Schneider; and her sister, Dianne Rankin.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held the following day, Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton with Pastor Don Meadows officiating.
