Reginald Lydell Woodson, 65,  passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah in Fishersville, after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer.

He was born on October 21, 1958, in Staunton to Naomi J. (Crawford) Woodson and the late Reverend Eicky Woodson.

Reginald's life was a testament to his kind and genuine nature. He never met a stranger and cherished the connections he made with others. His warm smile and compassionate heart touched the lives of many. Reginald had a deep love for his family, finding great joy in their company.

In his youth, Reginald attended Buffalo Gap High School, where he graduated as part of the Class of 1977. During his high school years, he participated in various sports including football, basketball, and track. His athleticism and dedication made him a valued member of these teams.

One of Reginald's true passions was music. He sang in the Woodson Brothers Gospel Band based out of Pigeon Forge, TN. With his melodious voice, he brought comfort and joy to many hearts through their music. Additionally, Reginald had the privilege of singing with the Masters of Harmony Gospel group.

Whenever Reginald took to the stage to sing, he always loved to dress up in elegant attire. His vibrant personality shone through his every performance as he poured his heart into each note he sang. Alongside his love for music, Reginald also enjoyed baking and cooking, often making a delightful mess in the kitchen.

Outside of his artistic pursuits, Reginald was an avid sports enthusiast and had an unwavering passion for the Dallas Cowboys football team. Their victories ignited his spirit and brought immense happiness to his life.

Reginald's impact reached far beyond his immediate circle and extended to his community. His dedication and commitment to his work were evident in his career as a self-employed individual in janitorial services. He approached every task with diligence and professionalism, leaving a lasting impression on those he served.

Reginald is survived by his beloved mother, Naomi J. (Crawford) Woodson; his fiance, Lori Nicholson; his brothers, Eicky Bernard Woodson (friend, Sherrie), Mark Timothy Woodson (Reba), Matthew Woodson (Susanne), and Stacey Lynn Woodson (Sharon); his sister, Ruth Darnise Lemon (Lee); his son, Joshua Woodson; numerous nieces and nephews; and several devoted friends.
