Reid B. Patterson

Reid Barnes Patterson, 83, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2022, at Augusta Health. Reid had made his home at the Beulah Land campus of Blue Ridge Christian Homes for the past 3 years.

Mr. Patterson was born on December 7, 1938, to the late John Knox and Sue (Harris) Patterson. He lived his entire life in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Mr. Patterson was a US Air Force veteran. He graduated from North Carolina State University and worked as a computer specialist for South Carolina Finishing company in Rock Hill, S.C. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, N.C., where he sang in the choir. His hobbies included music, gardening, and his many pets.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Judi (Davis) Patterson of Staunton, VA, and numerous cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 308 W. Fisher Street, Salisbury, NC on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM prior to the 11:00 AM service.

Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Statesville, North Carolina at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Department, First Presbyterian Church; the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas, 66675-8516 or to your favorite animal shelter or organization.
