Jack Bruce Wilkers, 74, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at his residence in Staunton.

He was born on May 20, 1952, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late Charles Daniel and Dorothy Marie Kellum Wilkers.

Jack was a devoted servant of God, and dedicated his life to ministry, faith, and service to others. He earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and then received his Master of Divinity degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. Throughout his pastoral career, he faithfully served congregations in North Carolina, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. He most recently served as Pastor of Third Presbyterian Church in Staunton, from which he honorably retired.

Jack was an active member of the Shenandoah Presbytery and most recently worshiped at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Staunton. His faith extended far beyond the walls of the church, as he devoted countless hours to serving his community through Habitat for Humanity and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Outside of ministry, Jack enjoyed spending time on the golf course and tennis court.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Pauline Pittner Wilkers; his brother, Gary C. Wilkers; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special family, Jean Claude Hatungimana and his wife, Yvette, and their children, Abby and Glenn.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Daniel C. Wilkers.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Henry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
