Robert N. Scott

Robert "Tabby" Nathaniel Scott, 59, of Staunton, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, at his residence in Staunton.

Robert was born October 6, 1964, in Staunton, to Robert M. Scott and Betty Louise Calloway Scott, later, to be raised by his bonus mother, Doretha Scott.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Betty, and Doretha Scott; his daughter, Maya Scott; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a bonus brother, Carl Tyler.

He attended Buffalo Gap High School. Robert loved his family and was a friend to the whole entire city. He was truly the life of the party. He had a love for cooking. Before becoming disabled, he was last employed by Gene's Family Pool Hall.

He is survived by his children, Mario Scott (Rae), Stacey Scott (Bobbi-Jean), Natasha Scott (Lamar), and Ravon Scott (Kaitlyn), all of Staunton; his bonus son, Torrance Mack; his five grandchildren, Stacey, Leviticus, Isla, Brionna, and Naomi; his children's mother, Nancy Moore; his six siblings, Stacey Scott (Janice), Michelle Davis (Terry), Eddie Scott (Gail), Jewel Thomas, Latanya Scott, and Victoria Scott, all of Staunton; a great number of nieces and nephew; and numerous great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Mount Salem Baptist Church in Staunton. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Isaih Edmonds, Ricardo Scott, Austin Beverage, Tyree Scott, AJ Scott, Dae'quan Scott, Torrance Mack, Marc Hackett, Shawn Organ, Raquan Scott.

After the interment, the family welcomes those in attendance to join them for repass at Mount Salem Baptist Church.
