Ruby R. Rankin

Ruby Frances Robertson Rankin, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

She was born on October 18, 1939, in Augusta County to the late Emery “EC” Clyde and Catherine Randolph Robertson.

Ruby was a seamstress for thirty-four years working at Genesco.

She is survived by her daughter and her son-in-law, Kathy and Mark Bales; her siblings, Jerry Robertson and his wife, Linda, Dinah Bryant, and Joe Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, David Christian Bales; her brothers, Walter, Harry, Marion, and Hollie Robertson; and her sisters, Effie Wells, Della, and Lucille Robertson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at McElwee Chapel Cemetery in Brownsburg.
