Surviving are his wife of thirty-seven years, Florence Beaver of Harrisonburg; his daughters, Cheryl O’Brien and her husband, Gerry of New Jersey, Kim Bentl of Florida, Brenda Harman of Florida; his eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Janette Smith of Ohio, Rhonda McNish of Virginia, Phillip Munn of Harrisonburg; his six stepgrandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Duane and David Beaver and his grandsons, Josh and Jeramiah Gentry.

The family is having an End of Life Celebration during Memorial Day weekend to honor Tom’s Life and his service to our country in the US Air Force.

The family would like to especially thank First Choice Hospice of Harrisonburg for their amazing care and support during this difficult time. Crystal, Wendy and Holly went above and beyond and have become like family to the Beavers.

Lay Minister John Henderson also became a special person to Tom and his family. He spent many hours with Tom and Florence talking about the Bible and our Lord and Savior.

A special thank you to his grandson, Gabriel Munn, who spent the last couple of months staying and caring for his grandfather Tom and helping his grandmother, Florence.

In a final act of generosity, Tom gifted his body to the Anatomy Gifts Registry to advance medical research and education.
