Timothy D. Rankin

Timothy Donald Rankin, 33, son of Timothy Lee Rankin and Dale R. Simmons Kennedy, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at his residence.

Timothy was born on April 22, 1989 in Waynesboro.

He was a graduate of Fort Defiance High School and Valley Career and Technical Center in Fishersville. He worked as a machinist at Regal Rexnord Motion Control Solutions in Stuarts Draft.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Kaylea C. and Kelsey A. Rankin; fiancée, Anna Eavers; his step-mother, Janice Rankin; his step-brother and wife, Tim and Christine Downs; his aunts and uncles, Kim and Roger Burns, Tracy and Robbie Hoy, and Janet and David Cook; and the mother of his children, Jessica Rankin.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton at 10:00 AM with the Reverend Madison Long officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Bobby Hoy, Jay Rankin, Jared Mullenax, Ben Bean, Mike Lea, and Steve Howard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Hoy and David Cook.
