Troy Kennon “TK” Painter, Jr., 49, of Buena Vista died Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 26, 1971, in Augusta County, a son of the late Troy Kennon, Sr., and Frances Bell (Strickler) Painter.
He was employed by the City of Buena Vista.
He never met a stranger and had the unique ability to always be there for everyone.
Family members include a sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and David Wirtanen of Buena Vista; nephew, Kristopher Lavender and wife, Heather of Raphine with their sons, Ian and Avery and nephew, Nickolas Lavender of Buena Vista; and many special friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2021, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Private burial will be held at a later date.
