STAUNTON –
Wendy Alice (McCredie) Harman, 70, wife of Jerry Filmore Harman, died Friday, November 12, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Wendy was born on October 5, 1951 in Chatham, New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Willson Moore and Dallas (Cameron) McCredie.
Wendy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Madison College. She started her career at Genicom, co-owned a flooring business with her husband and retired from Mary Baldwin University.
In addition to her husband of forty-five years, she is survived by a daughter, Alicia Dallas Harman de Sandoval (Julio) of Staunton; two step-daughters, Kimberly Suzanne Harman of Staunton and Robyn Lynn Gray (Dean) of Roanoke; a step-son, Mark Edward Harman of Swoope; a brother, Ian McCredie (Deb) of Cape Coral, FL; a sister, Gail Faherty (Matt) of Vernon, CT; four grandchildren, Maite Sandoval Harman, Karrington Greenlee, Neil Drewry (De’Ahzha) and Kerrigan Drewry; three great grandchildren, Grayson Greenlee, Camilla and Cara Drewry; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and her beloved dog, Quigley Harman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Dalton R. Greenlee.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Elizabeth Von Trapp Walker. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service and at the residence at other times.
