Willie Roy Lowe, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. His gentle soul and giving nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He was born on March 10, 1951, in Mount Airy, NC, to the late Roy Ernest and Lillian Ruth Hall Lowe.
Willie was known as the sweetest man in the world - a "Gentle Giant" whose warmth and compassion touched everyone he met. He was always ready to lend a hand or give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Willie’s kindness helped shape his relationships and interactions and earned him respect and affection from his family and friends.
He loved the "old shows" - program like "The Andy Griffith Show" and "The Three Stooges" - and he was an avid dog lover. Willie’s deep affection for dogs was constant throughout his life. The companions he cared for were a source of comfort and happiness and reflected his gentle spirit. He was a devoted NASCAR fan and loved following the career of Kyle Busch.
He is survived by his sister, Lara Faye Lowe; his brother, Doyle Ray Lowe and his wife, Mary; his nephews, Chris and Brad Lowe and Preston Walker; and five great-nephews.
Inurnment in Skyline Memorial Gardens in Mount Airy, NC will be private.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Wille will remember his generosity, his steadfast friendship, and his unwavering kindness. He lived his life with integrity, humility, and an open heart.
