Wilson L. Cupp

Wilson Lee Cupp, 73, of Staunton, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville.

He was born on December 7, 1952, in Staunton, to the late Oscar Fred and Ruth Thanet Hinton Cupp.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Meyer Cupp; his daughter, Sarah Bistel; his son, Matthew Cupp; his daughter-in-law, Evelyn Cupp; his grandchildren, Summer and Hunter Bistel, Hailee and Andrew Cupp; and his special friend, Ellis Fravel.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Cupp; his brother, Jerry Lane Cupp; and his sister, Dale Lynn Cupp.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Doctor Todd Lilly officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 3:00 PM and at other times at the Cupp residence.
